Leaving  Castelo Novo the route goes south towards Atalaia do Campo, passing through Ribeira de Alpeadre, towards Orca. On a dirt track, it crosses the Taveiro stream and begins to climb until reaching the village of Santa Margarida. Cross the village towards Proença-a-Velha, land of history and heritage, where you can visit the lagares complex and the Olive Oil Museum. It crosses the Torto river and starts to climb until close to 390m, before crossing the Mourisco brook. It passes the geodesic vertex Sebastião José and begins its descent to cross the Rio de Moinhos stream and continue parallel to the Ponsul river, arriving at the Historical Village of Idanha-a-Velha.
