This route aims to make known an important part of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, specifically the western/central area of Serra do Gerês (Vale do Homem, Mata da Albergaria and Vale da Teixeira), ideal for the practice of Trail Running and Fast Hiking. The trail will start at Campo do Gerês with its Cruzeiro de Campo, a cylindrical epigraphic monolith, a Roman mark that marks the XXVII mile and refers to Emperor Décio (249-251). We will pass by the Miradouro da Juncêda, where we will find the most privileged view over the Gerês valley, by the Prado da Lomba do Vidoeiro, Pedra Bela. Technically this route mixes some rolling zones, with other technical and challenging zones that will imply particular attention from the participants.
