It’s a tempting challenge and few dare to turn it down. Don't be fooled by the first 15 km of gentle ascent, and get ready to achieve the goal. There is no mountain prize upon arrival, but the reward is incomparable: a 360° panoramic view of the green mountains and blue sea. Behind you is the winding road that passes through the traditional villages of Alcaria, Cabaços, Casas Novas, Alta Mora and Cabeça Gorda, before passing the Beliche reservoir. The route continues downwards as far as Junqueira, and ends with a bit of uphill and a descent into Castro Marim. Here you can visit the majestic medieval castle and fort of São Sebastião, before returning to the town.
