After a flat start through Salgados, Pêra and Alcantarilha, you are surrounded by a landscape featuring the colours of orange trees lining the road to Silves. Take advantage of your time in the first administrative capital of the Algarve region to take a cultural tour around the castle, listed as a national monument, before continuing through São Bartolomeu de Messines, Alte, Rocha da Pena and Salir. Turning towards the south, it’s time to enthusiastically accept the undulations, including the Tôr and Cruz da Assomada climbs, from the top of which the immense Atlantic ocean can be seen. You pass through Loulé and Boliqueime on the descent before returning to Albufeira.
