After leaving Covelo, the route continues to Ortigosa, where it begins to move further away from the Paiva river valley. After the passage in Cunha, a climb through a forest area begins and then a descent, always on dirt, until Sarabagos and Vilar de Arca. Through the northern slope of the Montemuro mountain, with a privileged view of the Douro valley, the descent is made to the town of Cinfães. Along this section the villages of Cristelo, Sogueire and Pinheiro are crossed. The entrance at Cinfães is made through the cemetery area and the stage ends at the Serpa Pinto garden.
