The route starts at the Alvor Fishing Port's car park, next to the public swimming pool. From there, it follows the walkway and turns right to run along the edge of the Alvor Estuary towards Medo Grande Point. Here, the route continues on the sand for around 1km along Alvor Beach. Leave the beach using the first stairs that you come across, and continue on the walkway over the dunes. At the end of the walkway, continue on the dirt path until you get back to the start.
