In São Jacinto a view can be enjoyed over the nature reserve of the São Jacinto sand dunes. Continuing on, the route always sticks close to the Aveiro estuary as far as Ovar, passing through Torreira. It reaches the city of Espinho to the north, where the Paramos lagoon is an area of ecological interest with a beautiful landscape and leisure activities. The old windmills are a feature of the territory. The section ends in Vila Nova de Gaia, to the south of the Douro river and to the north of Porto, where it reaches Cais de Gaia, with views over the Douro river and Porto’s historical centre. This is the departure point for the discovery of a new region.
