Vila do Bispo is alongside the South West Alentejo Natural Park and the Vicentine Coast, and reels you in with its beautiful beaches. This route starts with a tour of the parishes of Raposeira, Figueira and Budens before continuing northwards through the districts of Barão de São Miguel and Barão de São João. At Bensafrim a climb begins towards Espinhaço de Cão, along a wide road on the opposite side of the mountains. After being pleasantly surprised by the sudden change in landscape on the Vicentine Coast, you descend through the small villages of Bordeira and Carrapateira where, after a gentle ascent you ride onto a plateau where the prevailing wind carries with it intense aromas of nature in its purest state.
