The path leaves Castelo Rodrigo, going west following the PR2, towards the Côa valley, around the edge of Serra da Marofa and passing through Freixeda do Torrão. Follow the tar road until you pass the gate of the Faia Brava Reserve, descend the valley abruptly and cross the river through the Ponte da União and start the demanding climb up the slope, where the presence of cork oak cores announces the arrival at Cidadelhe. The route goes south to the village of Juízo, where the valley of the Massueime stream descends. Leaving the valley, it passes through Gateira, after which it crosses a mixed and flattened landscape, with views towards Marialva. The cycling mode crosses IP2 in the area of the connection node, passes through Devesa and ascends the castle on the south side.
