The start of this trail is at Pico Alto, in the parking area for access to the viewpoint. It is a single track built in a Cryptomeria (Japanese cedar) wood, with fast areas and sharp bends. The track surface consists of earth that is extremely soft and sticky when dry and very slippery when wet. The trail ends at the former home of the Alto forest warden.
