The Veigas route, in Ponte de Lima, establishes a connection between the town and the pier of Vitorino das Donas. We begin this section on the left bank, near the Roman-Gothic bridge which has connected the two banks for 2000 years. It is a unique construction from the time of the Roman emperor Octavius Caesar Augustus, and is designated as a national monument.
