The route begins in Belver, you walk along the levada (water channels) and cross the river by a suspension bridge. Head to the Fundeira Tower and take the path to the right that leads to Anta do Penedo Gordo and then descend towards the dam. After the bridge and just after crossing the railway line, take the path towards the old Fadagosa spas (antigas termas da Fadagos). Carry on by passing the river beach of Alamal by a wooden walkway. We pass the centenary iron bridge, climb the staircase, which takes us to the Fonte Velha and the Caminho da Fonte Velha contemporary art sculptures.
