From the car park, continue to the Caldas Chapel as far as road 266 towards the Caldas Lookout Point. Follow the tarmac road and turn onto a dirt path on the left. Climb up to another paved road and turn right then left, and climb nearly as far as Picota, where the route intercepts the Via Algarviana. Descend until you come across a sign pointing left, and start to climb at Pé da Cruz towards Covão d’Águia. Turn right on a dirt path and descent along a narrow path until you reach the tarmac road, in Palmeira, turn right and cross road 266 towards Cortês. Continue straight on and turn left during the descent. At the crossroads, turn left towards the Caldas River and climb up back to the start.
