From the Fóia Museum Centre, head off east along the tarmac road and then turn left to descend along the old Fóia road towards the Penedo do Buraco waterfall. Continue along the road and take the path to the right, passing the Preto Ravine and Cimalhadas. When you get to the road by Cruz da Fóia, take a dirt path to the right and descend towards the Chilrão waterfall before continuing towards the Barbelote waterfall. Climb up a trail cut through the rock and cross old terraces; continue along the same path used previously towards Penedo do Buraco, where the Via Algarviana can also be found. Continue along a narrow trail by the reservoir and climb up to Fóia.
