Start by Marmelete church and continue along rua Francisco Furtado, on link 5 of the Via Algarviana - Marmelete to Aljezur. Further on, leave the Via Algarviana and turn right towards the EN 267 and the Marmelete Day Centre. Cross the road and, on the other side, follow a passageway that takes you to the Santo António Chapel. Now take the left hand path, passing cork-oak trees. Cross the Santo António Hill and Covão and walk alongside the Passil Ravine.

Next, climb up towards the Picos lookout, where it is worth pausing to enjoy panoramic views over the coast before descending towards Marmelete and the starting point.
