From the Cathedral continue along the street where the old João de Deus house is found, and walk across the entire village as far as the railway line in the Furadouro neighbourhood. You have to pass through Barradas and cross the EN1079 before arriving at the mountains. With the Arade River set firmly in your sights, follow an exceptionally beautiful road along this major water course.
A steep climb begins after passing the dam. This is without doubt the hardest part of this sector. The path continues along the banks of the Arade River, before turning further on towards the mountains. The route then goes on to cross the Enxerim river and continues as far as the national highway, where it ends. The town of Silves, where accommodation can be found, is around 500m away.
