This route mainly explores the mountainous region north of the springs of the Alviela Olhos d’Água, featuring scrubland, extensive olive groves and pastures marked out by dry stone walling. It passes through Arrifes, areas of geomorphological discontinuity that separate the mountainous area from the moorland for which most of the territory of the district of Alcanena is known. This moorland consists of extensive olive and fig groves that are the remains of a once abundant farming activity.
