The entire circuit runs around the edge of the Santa Luzia reservoir, close to Casal da Lapa, in an area of pine groves. The route leaves the centre on the cycle track and then follows the shores of the reservoir towards Unhais-o-Velho. It begins the return journey when it joins the old road, running towards the MTB centre, where it ends again on the cycle track.
