Linhares da Beira castle shouldn’t be missed before starting the route, as it whets your appetite for discovering the region. The route begins downhill along an old cart track (a road used by animal-drawn carts), which leads to the village access road and continues onwards on a dirt track that provides access to fields of crops. After a while the track turns onto a road beside the paraglider landing pad, and turns towards Prados for just a few metres before turning right and following a road running through fields of crops. After another few metres, the route reaches a forest track that takes you back to the picturesque village.
