Leaving the Rossim Valley, the route passes through the Meteorological Observatory and goes down a dirt track until it begins a technical descent, partially by a sidewalk to the village of Manteigas, crossing the village and the bridge of the river Zêzere, the route follows together with the GR33 until very close to Vale Formoso. Here the route goes along the right bank of the river, crossing the county's Souto, with predominance of agricultural fields and small pastures to the skiparque in Sameiro. Cross the river and enter the Amoreira Valley until you reach Valhelhas. In Valhelhas it crosses the center of the village, crosses the river beach and goes in the direction of Vale Formoso, where it separates from the GR33 and follows the variant 22.1 to Belmonte.
