Lagoons can be found all the way along the route as far as the beach areas of Manta Rota and Altura, providing you with inspiration for the climb up to the Monte Rei golf course. The road, with a good surface and little traffic, takes you on further to Curral de Boeiros, from where you can take on the challenging Asseca Valley descent, passing through Pego do Inferno. The route has one last climb in store, this time up to the traditional hamlet of Santo Estêvão.
