The route is meant for experienced practitioners with good technical skill and physical strength.It starts at the mountain biking centre and then keeps to the paths beside the Ferreira river before skirting the Santa Justa mountain range on the south side. It then begins the climb to the 369 m altitude geodesic marker.At this point it starts to descend, passing the Capela de Santa Justa (Santa Justa Chapel), the former Srª do Chão sanatorium and chapel.Next, it crosses Valongo to the north, passes the Capela de São Bartolomeu (São Bartolomeu chapel) before climbing to the Quintarei geodesic marker.
It then descends until it meets up with blue trail B and continues along this valley.It splits from this just south of Sobrado to climb up to Borbulho and afterwards descends to Valongo.
