The route is meant for experienced practitioners with good technical skill and physical strength.It starts in Sobrado and climbs up to the geodesic marker at Quintarei.Continuing along Alto do Saldanha, with a view over Valongo, it carries on to Alto do Borbulhão and then starts descending.Passing through the town centre it continues along paths and trails next to the River Ferreira, which it crosses via the bridge in Couce and then it climbs to the Serra de Pias.From there, it goes down towards Sobrado, passing close to the church of São Martinho do Campo and the Roman bridge over the River Ferreira, and then heading towards Quinta das Arcas.Turning north, the route goes past the main church of Sobrado.
