The Lima Ecotrail provides a link between Viana do Castelo and Arcos de Valdevez, along the right bank of the river, and a link between Viana do Castelo and Ponte da Barca along the left. In Viana do Castelo, it follows the wide valley with sprawling meadows and riverside woods, where the wide-open vistas mingle with nooks and crannies, and visible above it all, the landscape dominated by the imposing granite mass of the Serra de Arga.
