A circular route along rural roads, trails and single forest tracks. There are stones here and there, but it is not very technical. It starts with the climb up to mount Sr.ª do Castelo, towards the Fornelo do Monte wind farm as far as the boundary of the nature park, where it reaches the highest point of both the route and the district. On the way back down, the route features areas of great interest for lovers of landscapes and heritage, including the Lapa da Meruje dam and the surrounding oak woods, the Penoita forest and the medieval tower of Vilharigues.
