The route starts in the city of Figueira da Foz and continues towards the vast stretch of white sand of Mira Beach. Many different landscapes can be admired in the surrounding area, such as the pine grove, the lagoon and its unspoilt dunes. This section ends in the city of Gafanha da Nazaré (Ílhavo). To reach the start of the next section, you need to cross the Aveiro Estuary on the ferry river link, which departs from Forte da Barra and arrives at São Jacinto.
