The route starts in Foz do Arelho, where we recommend a ride along the Atlantic sea front as far as Salir do Porto. Next comes São Martinho do Porto, a village set on a bay. Further on can be found the start of Nazaré beach, a cove protected to the north by a promontory and to the south by the breakwater of the safe harbour. Continuing along the coast, the route passes several beaches until reaching the district of S. Pedro de Moel. Well worth a visit is Marinha Grande, set back slightly from the route and built on a large plain, surrounded by the Leiria pine grove. Returning to the route, and just after Saudade Rock, the landscape becomes dominated by cliffs, sand dunes and the ocean, as far as Vieira de Leiria beach.
