The wonderful Vicentine Coast gives us images worthy of a cinema screen, adding extra excitement to our continuously climbing route between the centre of Aljezur and Arrifana. In the middle of the route, after the first 10 km can be found a fantastic view of the horizon and the strong waves that pound the sand of beautiful beaches such as Monte Clérigo. From Arrifana we return to Aljezur and continue southwards on the EN 120, towards Serra de Espinhaço de Cão. After keeping left as far as the Bravura reservoir, get ready to face a tough 3 km climb as far as the outskirts of Marmelete, from where you start to descend back towards the district's capital - a town founded by the Moors in the far-off 10th century.
