On a long avenue devoted to the grand epic led by Prince Henry the Navigator, you continue past the Boavista golf course, with sobering views over Praia do Porto de Mós as a backdrop. After the attractions of the peerless beauty of Praia da Luz and Burgau, the next few turns of the pedals take you towards the hinterlands, crossing the EN 125 and onwards to Almádena, which competes in the landscape with the traditional village of Barão de São João. From this settlement, with white houses adorned by traditional Algarve chimneys, you climb towards Portelas and Odiáxere until reaching the extensive sand dune of Meia Praia. The route ends at the Lagos Marina, which affords great views over the imposing city wall.
