The district of Monchique welcomes you for a route that ends at one of the most famous holiday resorts in the region's hinterland. Leaving the town in the direction of Portela da Viúva-Selão, you bypass Fóia on winding roads to enjoy one of the most impressive panoramic views of the mountains and the Vicentine Coast. From Portela do Vale, you descend southwards through Casais and the village of Montes de Cima, from where the undulating route through the district of Senhola do Verde is great fun - as far as Rasmalho and the Portimão/Monchique main road. On your way back, stop off at the thermal town of Caldas de Monchique, with its deeply tranquil views.
